Thank you to everyone who came out and donated to The Council Rock STAR Center's first Blood Drive. We had a goal of 20 pints and we were able to collect 28! If you missed the opportunity there are 2 Council Rock Blood Drives happening next Wednesday, January 28. Newtown Middle School from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm AND Holland Elementary School from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. See the attached flyers for information and to register. There is currently a blood shortage and we need the help of the Council Rock Community.

Tomorrow is The STAR Center Blood Drive. Spots may be filled but you can still walk in and donate. The STARboro Cafe & Garden Market will be providing coffee and a pretzel to everyone who donates. Let make this a great turnout!

Students in the ACHIEVE Program were honored to be asked to make t-shirts for the Council Rock North Women's Cross County Team to wear at Districts in October. Thank you to Council Rock Education Foundation for the grant to purchase the equipment that lets us build our employability skills while helping the Council Rock Community. The Bucks County IU is holding its Annual Secondary Transition Options & Resource Fair Thursday, October 30 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Information about this was sent out in September. This is an update to the list of vendors who will be participating.

Also note in the booklet that there will be 2 presentations regarding Intellectual Disability and Autism Services in Bucks County. They occur at 5:45 and again at 6:35.

Also new this year is a session for Transition Aged Youth 18-21 given by the Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Network. This is for our young adults only not for parents.

Also in the booklet they have added a vendor key indicating agencies that are OVR Providers and/or ODP Providers.

There are some great resources that will be there on Thursday. I hope that you are able to stop in and get some information.

It's not too late to start some veggies. We have tomatoes, peppers and other plants outside Council Rock STAR Center for the rest of the week. Stop by during or after school hours. Help yourself and consider sending us a donation.
