Environmental Conservation Organization at UTD

Come help clean Spring Creek Trail with ECO as this fall semester wraps up! 🍂 We will be having monthly clean-up events in Richardson starting TOMORROW at 10am!

To volunteer, please fill out the form found in the link in our bio! Carpooling will also be offered, so if you would like to carpool or can be a driver, you can find the sheet to do sign-up in the form as well as our bio (linktr.ee/ecoutd) 🍁

We wanted to have a clean-up opportunity closer to UTD in addition to the usual Dallas ones, but if you're still interested in cleaning White Rock Lake on second Saturdays you are more than welcome to attend there! We will no longer be offering carpooling to White Rock Lake, but the organization that we would join are still hosting the clean-ups. Feel free to join them on your own if you'd like!

We hope everyone's exams went well! Come join us this upcoming MONDAY at 5pm for our second meeting of the year 🌿 We are going to be making eco bricks that are planned to be used for making a structure on campus!

Swipe through the pictures to learn more about eco bricks and how we will make them! Materials will be provided to participants, but feel free to bring your own plastic water/soda bottles of any size and scissors if you'd like 😊

It'll be a lot of fun and a great way to destress while also reducing plastic waste! Hope to see everyone soon 🌱

Calling all artists and anyone interested! 🛍️ We are planning on having ECO tote bags again this year and are looking for a design from our community! If you like the environment and designing things (or want to try it out!) this is the opportunity for you 🌿 Swipe to learn more about the requirements and how to enter!

IMPORTANT: please also be sure to somehow incorporate the word ECO and/or our logo in your design! If you want to use the ECO logo, check the link in our bio for the pngs!

Entries are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, October 26th. If chosen, you will get one of the tote bags for free!

We hope everyone had a great start of the school year! Exciting news - ECO will be having its very first meeting of the semester THIS Tuesday, September 13th at 7-8pm in room SCI 2.210! It will be an introductory meeting - come to learn more about what we do and the events we’re planning this fall 🍁🍄

UTD’s very own Office of Sustainability will also be there, so be sure to join us! Hope to see you all there!! 🌻

Monthly White Rock Lake Clean-Up days have begun and we would love to have you there! Interested in helping preserve our local environment? Come join us whichever dates work for you!

Here are the dates for this fall semester:
- September 10, 9am to 12pm
- October 8, 9am to 12pm
- November 12, 9am to 12 pm
- December 10, 9 am to 12pm

Happy Wednesday Comets!! We hope yall have been happy and healthy and putting down roots here (🌱) at UTD! We are having our first meeting of the year next Thursday all about sustainability at UT Dallas! Come drop by for snacks and good vibes :)
