A New Way of Life The first week of May 2016, Gregory Spurlock unexpectedly passed away leaving his wife, Shar, and two young boys, Brodie 10 and Seth 8, devastated. For the first 60-90 days, assets are frozen, and this only adds stress to an already unbelievable situation. Our community was...

I received this from Take Me Home Pet Rescue after we dropped off the donations!

Thank you!! You and your friends are amazing and we really appreciate you all. The volunteers and I spent a few hours sorting donations yesterday afternoon. I'll get photos today of that too as its really incredible.
We were contacted by the animal control officer yesterday afternoon from Glenn Heights and Red Oak and they are desperate for supplies so we are loading up today and heading down there. Since I saw you several more requests have come in as well.
Here is a cute pic of you. Can you give me the names of your friends? I should have written them down!
Thanks again for taking the time to make this happen and I'll keep you posted on the requests that start coming in for specific type items.

Thank you again for all who donated! Your generosity will bring relief to areas that have been underrepresented by the media and volunteer efforts. We will be collecting again!
This picture shows a few of the supplies we collected and Stella, a dog staying at the clinic while she recovers from mange. Then she will be fostered until she is ready to adopt. There were also 2 precious shepherd mix puppies, Luke and Leia, who were rescued from a trash pile. They are being treated until they, too, will go to foster to prepare for their furever home. The cat Mona almost found her way into my Jeep...
These people do great work to try to eliminate homelessness for pets and assisting in the rescue and recovery efforts for the tornado-stricken animals.
Happy New Year!!!
God Bless!

Not only did we Jam My Jeep we had to Top Off the Ta**us! We were overwhelmed by the people who dropped off supplies this morning! All donations were taken to Take Me Home Pet Rescue in Richardson who is working with many agencies and cities to supply them with needed donations. They will need a lot of support so we will look at another supply drive in the next few weeks! Thank you to all the donors, and Wally Ballard, Heather Raynsford, and Ava D for their assistance in greeting, unloading/loading, and transporting the supplies! Happy New Year!

Collection for Animal Tornado Victims- Wed Dec 30 9-11 @ Glenhope
I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and are enjoying some well deserved down time.
Like many of you I am sure, I watched in horror at the destruction the tornadoes on Saturday wreaked across areas to our east.
Also, like many of you I am sure, you wonder what you can do to help.
I am in touch with several people and agencies working with animal rescue and reunification in the Rowlett and Garland areas. The initial outpouring of donations has been huge, but many of these supplies are being distributed around the area to smaller groups (vet clinics, shelters, etc.) and are just being used up as lost, scared, and injured animals continue to pour into these facilities.
In keeping with the generosity I have witnessed in our school and district, I am offering to collect any donations for these animals and take them to my contacts for distribution.
If you would like to donate, I will be at Glenhope in the front of the school Wednesday morning from 9-11am. From there I will take all collected items to drop off locations.
Some of the most requested items:
Dry and canned cat food (premium brands, no Special Kitty, Meow Mix, etc.)
Dry and canned dog food (premium brands, no Beneful, Ol' Roy, etc.)
Towels and blankets (gently used and clean or new)
Pet food bowls (clean plastic or metal)
Dog and cat toys (new or gently used)
Kitty litter (any brand)
Disposable litter boxes
Large dog crates (for 80 lbs and up)
Pet shampoo
Thank you for anything you can do for these animals until they are reunited with their families!
Please let me know if you have any questions. If this time does not work for you, please let me know and I will see what arrangements can be made.
Hope to see you Wednesday morning to Fill My Jeep!!
