CSEA Members, Here is a concise update from the CSEA Review meeting on March 18, 2026 This summary is intended to keep everyone informed as we move toward our next Review Meeting on April 15.
PROJECT & MAINTENANCE UPDATES
• Track repairs at Twentynine Palms High School are complete; the final step is fluffing the surface.
• Fuel facility upgrades at both La Contenta Bus Yard and Twentynine Palms Bus Yard are expected to be fully completed in May.
• The new kitchen and lunch shade shelter at TPJHS will be completed in approximately two weeks. Equipment is arriving now.
• PA/Bell/Clock system replacements at various sites have been delayed due to the potential school closures currently under district review.
• The relocatable restroom planned for the new TPJHS kitchen has been cancelled. A permanent restroom will be constructed instead.
• Construction of the new administrative building at TPJHS will begin soon.
• Remaining repairs at Onaga Elementary School are scheduled for completion during spring break.
• Roofing repairs at Onaga will also be completed over spring break.
• HVAC projects at various sites are scheduled to go to the next Board meeting for summer planning.
• Shade structures, SELPA portable/play equipment, and PA/Bell/Clock replacements remain districtwide ongoing projects.
• Contracted services continue as usual, including fire suppression, backflow testing, hazardous materials disposal, tree trimming, fencing, custodial equipment repair, and more.
• Current districtwide projects also include bottle-fill stations, repainting at the Professional Development Center, and ongoing ELOP-related work.
