As the academic year drew to a close, we enjoyed a jam-packed week saying goodbye to our fifth graders, celebrating our kindergarten class, and taking part in field day activities amidst great weather. The year's finale was truly memorable, marked by smiles, happy tears, and warm embraces.

We hope you have a fantastic summer.

Our annual reunion was held today for seniors who attended Summit Elementary. Mrs. Eberst read a picture book and Mrs. Gaugenbaugh taught a lesson from Shakespeare. After a pizza lunch, Mrs. Eberst led the Clap Out parade. We are so proud of our seniors and send them off into the world SPARKING!

What an amazing day of showing off our hard work! Our 5th graders shared their 3D printed R2D2 domes with other schools involved with the Ohio Code Scholar Program. Our students designed and painted the domes. Then, they connected circuits and created a computer program to make them light up, open and close and play sounds! We are proud of our 2 students who won second place for exceptional paint job and first place for exceptional operations! Congratulations to all our fifth graders.

Our Scholastic Book Fair will be open all week. There is everything STEM at this fair. See you Thursday night at STEM Night. Watch out for the Megalodon while you shop!

Our halls were full of energy, joy, and celebration on Friday as Summit Road STEM Elementary hosted our Multicultural Day!

Students had the opportunity to experience and appreciate cultures from around the world through hands-on activities, including learning salsa dancing and participating in a tea party. It was incredible to see our students so engaged, curious, and excited to learn from one another.

A huge thank you to our EL teachers for the time, creativity, and care they put into planning such a meaningful day for our students. Also thank you to the parent volunteers, who helped at stations!

Opportunities like this help us continue building a school community that is welcoming, inclusive, and full of learning.

Our 2nd and 3rd grade students had an awesome experience on Thursday as they participated in programming with Junior Achievement!

Junior Achievement brings real-world learning into the classroom, helping students build early skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness. Through hands-on activities and engaging lessons, our students explored ideas like how money works, the importance of making choices, and how communities and businesses connect.

It was incredible to see our students thinking, collaborating, and making connections to the real world right here at Summit Road STEM. A big thank you to our volunteers and staff who helped make this experience meaningful and fun for our learners!
