Proud to be an Approved IBSC site for renewal of their TP-C and TR-C certifications. Excellent standards to strive for.

⛑️Tactical medicine operates by its own rules. Scene safety means something different when the threat isn't controlled. Treatment decisions happen faster, with less, under conditions that no classroom fully prepares you for.

The TP-C and TR-C certifications from IBSC exist because this environment deserves its own standard - not a general EMS credential stretched to fit a world it wasn't designed for.

Two pathways. One mission.

TP-C - for licensed paramedics embedded in tactical operations.
TR-C - for tactical responders and military medics operating in the same environment under a different licensure framework.

The standard you hold yourself to in the field should be reflected in the credential behind your name.

🚨 ATOMS NOVEMBER 2026 UPDATE 🚨

With heavy renovations taking place at the Ohio Fire Academy this fall, we regret to announce that the November ATOMS 2026 class will be canceled. Attempts to find another slot in the OFA calendar were not successful.
The Ohio Fire Academy has been a fantastic host to our class, our students and cadre for 13 years. We are looking forward to seeing the updated and new facilities that will make their campus and all the courses associated with it better than ever.
While we are disappointed to not be seeing 32 new students in the fall, rest assured the cadre will still be engaged. We will be taking the opportunity to meet and assess the course. We anticipate some re-writing and updating, adding new doctrine and figuring out how to make what we do well even better.
Stay safe and stay tuned… we do have a good announcement coming for prior students this year..

We at TriMed are so thankful for what was another excellent training year, our 12th. Thank you to the students, the agencies that see the value in what we do, our amazing instructors and support staff, our role players, our guest instructors and our host at the Ohio Fire Academy that make this program what it is.

Annnnnnddddd that’s that for ATOMS NOV 2025…today was Team Health and treating orthopedic injuries with Woody Godfinett and Austin List followed by final exam and testing scenarios. We had motivated students, which motivates our instructors and makes it an enjoyable week of training despite the long, rough days!

Mark those 2026 training calendars for our April 20-24 and November 2-6!! We look forward to next year’s courses, but for now it’s softer beds and earlier bedtimes.

Thanks to the students, their agencies, our amazing role players, the staff of the Ohio Fire Academy, and the best cadre in the biz for a great year of training!

Day 4 ✅ Exactly the kind of progress we want to see… solid MARCH assessments, appropriate treatments at the right time… we learned and practiced “load and go” extrication in vehicles, final testing tomorrow an it’ll be a wrap. Great class of motivated students makes it so much more easy and fun for us all.
