Did you know that BYUI English Transitional Center offers a Study Buddy program for English Language Learners? If you are wanting to practice or improve your English, sign up on our website to get paired up with a study buddy from the ETC! Our study buddies can help by teaching study habits, creating study plans for the TOEFL, ACTFL, ELTS, and GRE tests, or providing speaking, reading, and listening practice. Our services are available and free to BYU Idaho students and their spouses.

Hey! I'm Alexa Kroll. My major is Art History, and I'm from Kansas. I like working in the ETC because I get to have new experiences every day and with each student. Even when I'm teaching the same content with several students, each student brings a unique perspective and makes the lesson their own. I love the students I work with and how eager they are to learn more. Students progress so quickly when they are curious. As we explore their questions together, I've seen them move forward in their classes.

Hello!!
My name's Jillian Fox, I'm majoring in zoology, and I'm from southern California. I like working at the ETC because I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures from all around the world. I personally have seen students progressing by gaining more confidence and not being afraid to ask questions! It's impossible to learn everything you want to know from one tutoring session, but if you become more confident, your learning process will become a lot easier.
