Hello! My name is Cami Sauter. I am graduating with a bachelor’s in IDS. My emphasis is event planning/catering, and my minor is technical/design theatre. I am also a scenic painter! I have painted for Babette’s Feast, Esther, Wait Until Dark, Cinderella, and The Lightning Thief.

My favorite thing about the theatre program is how tight knit the community is, everyone has each others back. We are all passion driven. I have a lot of people who believe in me and my abilities in the department. I appreciate that so much!

After I graduate, I plan to continue scenic painting and see where that takes me!

Hey hey!! My name is Heather Sykes, and after being here for far too long, I’m finally graduating with a Theatre Studies degree with a Design/Tech emphasis! Since being here, I’ve had the absolute privilege to work backstage on 7 AMAZING shows (The Winter’s Tale, Translations, Agatha Christie, Comedy of Errors, Cinderella, Esther, and The Lightning Thief), and a few others in various capacities. From being a Child Guardian to Sound Technician and Stage Manager for 2 shows, I have learned and gained so much experience and made so many friends along the way!

This last year has really been the highlight of my college career. Between all the shows I got to work on and the classes I took, I’ve grown a lot this year. Every phase of my time here has been awesome!! (but please don’t quote anything I might’ve said during tech 😉)

My next steps are unknown even to me, but I will be spending the next couple years working before going to grad school. Guess we’ll all find out together! Thanks to everyone who has been my cheerleader along the way; I could not have done all of this without your support and love!! YOU’RE ALL AMAZING AND I 🩷🩷🩷 YOU ALL!!!! Til the next time, keep breaking all the legs!

Hi there! I’m Shaylee Quigley!

I am graduating with a degree in Theater studies with an emphasis in acting, and I have a home design minor. Ive had the chance to work with so many fun individuals for the shows I’ve worked on. I have worked on Robinhood and Gianni Schicchi/Old Maid and the Thief as an ASM. I was in Comic Frenzy. I had the amazing opportunity to be an actor for Elixir of Love! My last show was working tech for Percy Jackson as a stagehand.

A favorite memory of Theater was watching Comic Frenzy. 2021 was a really hard year for me. I rarely left my apartment (plus Covid), but I was told that I needed to see Comic Frenzy. So, I went to a show all by myself, and I sat alone. I remember laughing until I was crying. I hadn’t felt that happy in a long time. That’s when I realized that I could make someone feel the same joy I felt during Comic Frenzy. I made it onto the team the following semester (thanks Brother Hill)!

I am working home design when I am going home, but I know I will wrap around back to my forever home in the theater. I think it would be so fun to make props!

Thank you BYUI Theater for being my home for almost 6 years. Thank you to my professors who took chances on me. Thank you especially to my friends I hold close to my heart. I love you all! ❤️

Hey everyone, I’m Katherine Hall! I’m graduating with a major in Theatre degree with Technical/ Design emphasis. I’m so grateful for the time I’ve had at Byu-I. I have loved all the people I’ve met and gotten to work with. When I started college, this was not a path that I had planned to go down. But after meeting so many amazing people and seeling guidance. I realized that it was the path I needed to be on.

I had the blessing of working on many productions, some of the most influential was being a dresser on The Agatha Christie series, an actor and props lead on Esther, and the assistant scene designer on The Elixir of Love.

I am going to become a phlebotomist after I graduate. It’s been a dream I mine. Then after a little break I’m planning to attend grad school.

Hey there! My name is Amber Baker, and I’ll be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies with a Design and Tech emphasis. I’ve been part of seven total productions here at BYU-I. The most recent, and arguably favorite, shows I worked on are Elixir of Love as the stage manager, and The Lighting Thief as assistant light designer.
