Program alumni save lives every day, all across the country. A graduate of our final class, Jordan Montierth, carries on the spirit of the program. Way to go Jordan!

EDMOND, Okla. - A family vacation took a near tragic turn this week. The Wreyford family was enjoying a neighborhood pool and picnic when chaos erupted. 2-year-old Boone removed his floatation device and climbed back in the pool. His mom, Katy, didn't notice for several minutes. She plucked her son'...

We are sad to announce the closing of the program. The university feels that it is time to focus efforts in other areas of the university. The current class will be the last cohort offered by the paramedic program. The EMT class will be offered one more time, this coming spring semester. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Another group of students is starting their internships today, in Oklahoma City. These students are fine tuning their skills by working with the best the industry has to offer. We are ever grateful to EMSA OKLAHOMA for the kindness and generosity they show our students.

Two dozen paramedic students from the BYU-Idaho paramedic program got their first taste of EMSA today in Oklahoma City!

The students are completing their clinical internships at EMSA and will be here through mid-November - and hopefully longer. We've been fortunate to have several BYU-I grads join our team after completing their internships.

Please give them a warm welcome!

We're proud of the positive things our alumni are doing for the people they serve! Good job Taylor Curtis!

A native of Washington State, Taylor moved to Oklahoma in late 2013 to complete his paramedic internship at EMSA. He was one of several graduates of the Brigham Young University-Idaho paramedic program who decided to stay and start their careers iTaylor Curtis-2n the Sooner State.

Taylor exhibits strong clinical skills and is highly dependable, but it’s a deep compassion for his fellow man that sets Taylor apart. Taylor’s peers also appreciate his upbeat, can-do attitude. He is known for finding the best in every situation and influencing others with his optimism.

Throwback Thursday! Operation Yellow-brick Road. Class of 2009--some of us had a little more hair back then, but for the most part, nothing has changed. Still an extremely talented group of individuals!

"Of all the titles of respect and honor and admiration that are given to Deity, He has asked us to address Him as Father. All that I am, and all that I have, is because He is a father to me."

Let's pause to give reverence and thanks for our earthly fathers, and our Heavenly Father.

Men on Earth have the opportunity to become fathers and experience some of the same joys that our Heavenly Father feels for us. Fatherhood is a divine respon...

On this beautiful Easter Sunday, we pause to reflect on the miracle of the resurrection. Christ, as the master healer, has much to teach us about healing sick bodies, minds and souls. Only in and through the Atonement is healing possible.
