Our students had the unique opportunity to learn directly from these GRAMMY®-winning artists during an intensive masterclass, followed by a breathtaking performance that pushed the boundaries of contemporary percussion.

During her time in service, Prof. Crawford served in the 42nd Infantry Division Band, Infantry Center Band, 2nd Infantry Division Band (South Korea), Signal Corps Band, 40th Infantry Division Band, 23rd Army Band.

Happy Veterans Day to our very own trumpet professor, Dr. Andy Allphin!

Before joining BYU-Idaho, Dr. Allphin was a trumpeter with "Pershing's Own" U.S. Army Band in D.C. since 2004. He performed “Taps” at Arlington Cemetery, funerals for Presidents Reagan and Ford, and the inaugurals of three U.S. presidents. Dr. Allphin also played with the U.S. Army Concert Band, Herald Trumpets, Brass Quintet, Blues, and Trumpet Ensemble.
