The BYU-Idaho High Altitude Balloon Team is a near-space high altitude balloon research program designed for undergraduate research with the Brigham Young University - Idaho Physi

cs department. We offer students the chance to participate (with any level of experience) and put them to work on tasks ranging from payload rigging and launching, to instrument building, and public relations. With the aid of Weber State University's HARBOR team, we began this program in April 2017 with filming the 2017 total solar eclipse from the stratosphere in mind. We expect to continue in the coming years to provide students at BYU-Idaho with hands-on high altitude research opportunities as they pursue degrees in STEM-related fields.

Of course! We get the "interesting" air quality to measure just when everyone leaves, so we cannot fly a balloon. Sigh!
