China Horizons An unforgettable experience in China! With our $975 volunteer program, China Horizons provides a safe and affordable semester abroad.

China Horizons offers two program options. We have an affordable volunteer program for those participants still completing their undergraduate degree. The $975 program fee covers the cost of round trip airfare, housing, meals, visa, cell phone and more. For those participants with a BA/BS degree or higher, with two years experience post gratuation we have a paid teaching program. Each program offers teaching ages kindergarten - college and working no more than 20 hours a week.

There is some progress being made in Jacob's case. We are looking for some testimonials for how going through the china horizons program has impacted you through your interactions with a new/different culture. We would like for you to send your responses to email: [email protected]

Hey everyone,

We have a small update for you and a new way you can show support. Jacob and Alyssa have both been able to get lawyers and have met with them a couple times. The process for their release will take some time and so updates on their return will become less frequent. In the meantime, we would like to have past participants help boost Jake and Alyssa’s morale in this situation, by asking that teachers write individual letters to them.

Here are some ideas:

Fond memories from China
Shared experiences with Jacob and Alyssa
Words of encouragement
Don’t feel like you have to write about or are limited to these things only.

We want to send these letters out by the evening of Thursday, October 31.

Please get all letters into us by October 31 at noon. You can email a scanned copy of a written letter or a typed up copy to [email protected]

To maintain timeliness, please do not mail any letters so we can get the letters to them as quickly as possible.

Ni hao!

Over the past 17 years we have had the great opportunity to help you experience China in a personal and unique way. We are grateful for the memories and relationships that have been built over the years. Unfortunately, because of increasing political and economic problems between the USA and China, we are no longer able to send teachers to China safely. As a result, our company will be closing our doors at the end of October.
We would like to thank all of the participants who have made China an unforgettable experience through our program. We hope that one day the relationship the United States has with China will be in a better place. May your time in China stay with you and help you to have a positive impact on the world.
