Last spring semester at BYU-Idaho I took a Psychology class, Industrial Organizational Psychology. It's basically business psychology. Out of all the classes I took for my Bachelors degree this is one of the most influential classes I took. I'm glad Hannah convinced me to take it!

One of the assignments Professor Yohan Delton had us do was write letters to organizations/people who have influenced our lives. The assignments were titled, "Let Our Voices Be Heard". One of the organizations I wrote to is called Scientific Learning. They're a company who created a software, FastForward, that helps individuals with auditory processing and visual issues (also known as Irlen Syndrome). In July of 2017 I was diagnosed with Irlen Syndrome and used the FastForward software to help me overcome some academic weaknesses.

This past summer, Scientific Learning reached out to me and appreciated my letter. They also asked if they could publish it on their website. I honestly forgot about it. My mom, Lisa Kaye Rodeback Johnson, called me earlier this evening to say they published my letter.

I'm grateful for my support network who has helped me overcome obstacles. I'm grateful for my wife, my family and in-laws, friends, and professors. But a special thanks for my brother Sterling Johnson of being an example of how to overcome adversity and be a diligent worker. As well as my academic Psychologist, Janet, who helped me and encouraged me to improve.

Here is my letter and my story if anyone desires to read it.
