Well, that’s a wrap. The show run of Descendants the Musical has officially come to an end, but the memories and the love we built along the way will last a lifetime. 💙

Thank you to every single family who came out and supported us with two packed houses. This community means everything to us, and we felt it in every seat, every round of applause, every standing ovation.

And just know, the best is yet to come.

Ben and Mal singing “If Only.” Even with the show run behind us now, this moment is one we just can’t shake.

There’s something about this ballad that captures everything this process was really about. It started with vocals: finding the right note, the right breath, the right emotion behind every lyric. Then choreography: learning how to move with intention, how to tell a story with the body, not just the voice. Then acting: digging into character, finding truth in every line, every glance, every pause.

By the time this scene hit the stage, it wasn’t performance anymore. It was real. You could feel the growth in every second of it.

This is what we build here. This is the Lopez Way. 💙

🎭 The music has closed on our final show of Descendants the Musical, and honestly, we’re still soaking it all in.

The bonds this cast made are the Lopez Way. We wish we could explain it. We wish we could bottle it up and hand it to you. But it’s not something you can manufacture, it just happens, organically, every single time.

This cast didn’t just represent the talent and training we build here at Lopez. They represented the character. The growth. The discipline it takes to show up for each other day after day and turn it into something this special.

We are so incredibly blessed. Blessed to have students who pour their hearts into this work. Blessed to have families and parents who support them every step of the way. Blessed to have an amazing staff who make all of this possible.

These memories are ones for the books, lessons we’ll carry for a lifetime.

What a journey this has been. In just three weeks, we watched the talent grow. We watched the individuals grow. And through it all, this cast represented the Lopez legacy, not just in what they can do on stage, but in who they are off of it. Their integrity. Their character. The way they showed up for each other, rehearsal after rehearsal, day after day.

We could not be prouder of this group. You didn’t just perform this summer, you represented something bigger than yourselves, and you did it beautifully, and you did it fast.
