Camping week! Lots of fun and not too many photos… we had worm races and then did “painting with worms” we made campfires, ate s’mores, listened to camping sounds at night and played camping inside.

And July is over!! One month left of Summer Camp fun.

I approach these 3 year olds and ask “what’s going on back here”.
“We’re just saying bad word”
“Oh, what bad words are you saying?”
“Chicken banana” erupts into giggles 🤭

Fun Ocean Week and loving the perfect temperature the last two days! We found a toad friend (because we aren’t about to find an ocean friend in the backyard!), and learned all about many sea creatures, listened to the ocean in the shells, and made lovely messy art!

Another fun pirate week- also escaping the smoke inside Friday! It was HOT and most of the kids were super excited to bring out the pool. Many treasure hunts were had.

Totally Trucks is totally back for 2026! Join us on August 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to explore all the big trucks that the Reston Association uses to keep Reston beautiful. We may also have a fire truck on display, depending on availability. All children will receive a “Totally Trucks” construction helmet while supplies last. Some trucks will be horn-free.

Totally Trucks 2026 will take place rain or shine and is proudly sponsored by Friends of Reston!

Aaargh!! Fun pirate week Mateys!! We went on treasure hunts and found gold, pirate hats, tattoos, and bubbles. We read Pirate books and made pirate crafts and exploded chests full of gems! It was a very fun and messy week. 🏴‍☠️

Hooray for Americas birthday!! Happy 4th of July! We had a fun, wet and wacky week, and managed to stay cool despite the crazy heat wave.
