This week we read Mrs Wishy Washy’s Farm which is a cute story about some animals who run away to the city because they didn’t like all the baths she gave them, and they got themselves in trouble in the city and she came back to rescue them (and give them a bath!). Some kids have the story down pat and had fun acting out scenes and repeating phrases and laughing hysterically. We brought the book to our art time and stomped the animals in paint like the book, marble rolled animals, and painted pink pigs. Plus other fun activities!

One week of summer camp left!!! Thank you to all who have chosen to spend some weeks with us 🥰
08/04/2023
Final “camping” week combined with lots of bugs. Camping snacks included s’mores, build your own fire, and dirt and worms. We collected and studied many bugs, made butterflies, and swatted those mosquitoes! A little bit of inside doing a bug puzzle after lunch, and lots of Lego creating.

We had a fantastic HOT week of camping at camp! We went on a nature hunt and stuck our nature in playdough, we made campfire snacks, made lanterns, slept in tents and identified nighttime camping noises, and of course stayed hydrated and had lots of water fun!

Fun with a camping theme this week! We had marshmallows on sticks, crafted and built campfires, set up tents, told “spooky” stories and played with flashlights, and did some good old digging in the dirt and splashing in mud puddles! Sorry parents, they ALL want to go sleep under the stars and have real fire now…

Super short HOT week! We finished up our ocean theme and started our hot day ritual of the popsicle song and an ice pop to transition us inside to dry and cool off.
06/17/2023
Another fun week of camp. We talked about space, made some rockets, and a fizzy moon. We got messy making ooblek, and wet in the sprinkler on our one warm day! We also made the Daddies a little gift, and read lots of stories.

First week of Summer Camp 2023, and I think it may have been the coolest start ever! We didn’t take out water play until day 3, but still had fun outside exploring and playing, meeting new campers, and getting used to the change in camp schedule. This was Desert week and we read books about the desert, made rattlesnakes and cactuses. Next week we will continue desert week two and welcome more new summer friends!
