Funny moment today after we sang “Santa Clause is coming to town”. I asked the kids- so, who here at school pouts the most? And two kids immediately answered the same person (ACCURATE!). I said Who at school cries the most? And again they answered a name pretty on target. I then asked “who’s naughty at school?” And no one had an answer! That’s right, we are all nice 💕 Love these sillies, even my silly pouter 😉

We had a great final week of the year with happy healthy silly kids!! We kicked off J week with Jingle Bells of course, and enjoyed many Christmas and Hanukkah songs and activities. We dressed in our festive clothes and looked too too cute on pajama day! We even got to get outside and catch some snowflakes for the perfect ending of the week. Today we celebrated Hanukkah! A friend brought in some delicious edible dreidles and we sang some Hanukkah songs and danced to I’m a Little Latke. Our friend was very excited to share with us and told me about the Hebrew letters.

This week we continued talking about our winter holidays, and also celebrated the letter I! We painted with ice, and even had ice chips with snack!

Brrrr!!! We bundled up and played outside, but entertained ourselves inside on the WINDY 🌬️ day playing trains and building towers. This week we talked about the letter H, for hands, happy, hugs, hats, and so much more! We also did a lot of singing about Rudolph and reading so many holiday books.

This is a very special event I used to take my children to every year. It’s a hands on walk through Bethlehem which culminates at the stable (with live animals). I respect how anyone chooses to celebrate the holidays, but wanted to share one of family favorites!

Wishing all of our friends a very Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

This week we had a lot of kids out sick which is always sad 😢 I worked solo one day as my lovely assistant’s child was also sick and I had a legal/ manageable crew. I was doing a quick cleanup and had said I was cleaning up to get ready for circle time, and I turned around and these magical angels had gotten ready without me even singing our call to Circle time song!! I love these kiddos, they are the best!

We talked about the letter F this week, and made a fire station with legos, used feathers on our art projects, talked about Fall and made fall trees, and of course we ate French fries! They all had fun dressing up, and we continued learning our Thanksgiving song which includes Friends, Food, and Family- fantastic F words!

Short week, lots of fun! We welcomed a new friend, learned more about the letter E, and had lots of outside fun in the leaves!

Happy Halloween! I hope all the kids had a great night making memories with their families.

Happy pre-Halloween!!

A fun C week. We are crackers, cookies, cucumbers, carrots and corn chips. We painted with carrots, made crowns and caterpillars, and had fun with our friends in the beautiful fall weather.

We took a field trip to Leesburg Animal Park on Wednesday and had the best time! Perfect weather and all but one of our friends made it. Not the best group picture, but we got them all in one place!

B week!! We read stories, made Bs with beans, made b words with our playdough, created bats, boo-boo bears, we blew bubbles, played with balloons, and of course had loads of fun!

This week was all about the letter A! We read A books, sang apple and alligator songs, ate apples, and did lots of apple projects. We picked out Aa in text and learned A and Apple in sign language. We are making a classroom Alphabet book and our “A” girl got to be our first model!

We had a great week! One rainy day got us exploring “the train room”, we played with playdough, tested out scissors and tearing paper, gluing, sharing and lots of pretend play. Circle time has been going wonderfully and almost all of our friends are sitting and staying engaged!
