A highlight of this week’s Virginia Data Science Professional Learning Institute was seeing our very own students Lucas and Lola present their data science research to educators, university faculty, and state leaders from across Virginia.

As the only student presenters at the institute, Lucas and Lola did an outstanding job explaining their projects, methods, and findings. Their presentations drew significant interest and earned praise from leaders in Virginia’s data science education community.

They represented Edlin with confidence, curiosity, and professionalism, and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they showcased the incredible work happening in our High School Level Data Science program.

Edlin is the only middle school in Virginia that has the ability to offer a high school data science class to our middle school students.

So proud of our very own Lola and her volleyball team for winning the U13 National Volleyball Championship! 🏆🏐

What an incredible accomplishment and a testament to all the hard work, dedication, teamwork, and determination these girls have shown throughout the season. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve achieved together.

A huge thank you to our amazing Student Government Association (SGA) President Layla for organizing our first annual Pie-a-Teacher Fundraiser! 🥧🎉

The event was such a tremendous success that we actually ran out of pies! Our students had a blast, and our incredible teachers were such good sports that they even let students hose them down once the pies were gone! 💦😄

Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our school community, we raised over $600 toward our Courtyard Project. This is a wonderful step toward creating an even better outdoor space for our students to enjoy.

What a way for our 8th graders to celebrate the end of their middle school journey! 🎉🌈⚽

This week, students enjoyed an unforgettable 8th Grade Color Run, filling the day with laughter, school spirit, and plenty of colorful memories. The excitement continued with the highly anticipated Teachers vs. 8th Graders Soccer Match!

In a thrilling showdown, the 8th graders made school history by defeating the teachers 2–0—the first student victory in five years! 🏆⚽ The match was filled with energy, determination, and incredible teamwork as our students claimed bragging rights and ended an impressive teacher winning streak.

Our students ended the year with so much fun, laughter, and school spirit. An exciting Field Day filled with games and packed with unforgettable memories! 🌈🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We are so proud of all our students for their hard work, growth, and accomplishments throughout the year.

Congratulations to our outstanding World Language students on their performance on the Latin, French, and Spanish National exams!

We are proud to recognize the students who earned foreign language awards this year through their hard work, dedication, and commitment to language learning.

A special congratulations goes to Lola who achieved a perfect score of 100% in Spanish and Roman for an impressive 97% and Ralph with a 93% in French—a remarkable accomplishment that reflects both talent and perseverance.

We celebrate all of our award recipients and thank our language teachers for inspiring a love of languages and cultures. ¡Felicidades! Félicitations! Congratulations!


Today we held our Eighth Grade Luncheon, a special tradition that gives our graduates the opportunity to spend meaningful time with our administration as they prepare for their next chapter.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with conversation, reflection, laughter, and celebration of all these students have accomplished during their time with us. We are so proud of our graduates and look forward to seeing the amazing things they will achieve in the future.

What a wonderful Spring Concert! 🎶🌷

Our students shared their incredible talents through piano performances, orchestra, show choir, French songs, ukulele, and band groups. Each brought energy, dedication, and musical excellence to the stage, making this a memorable celebration of the arts.
