Kindergarten Authors and Artists Night🎨 Class of 2026 🎓

Our kindergartners proudly displayed the artwork and stories they have worked so hard on all year long!

Students personally guided their families on an art walk, sharing their own interpretations of masterworks, from Mondrian’s bold geometric designs and Monet’s beautiful Japanese Footbridge, to Pollock’s Lavender Mist, Cassatt’s tender Mother and Child, pointillist paintings inspired by Seurat, and so much more.

The night was filled with joy, pride, and the excitement of what lies ahead. We are so proud of these little artists and authors who are ready and eager to take on first grade next year!

RMS Highlights:April 2026

Earth Day is a special time to celebrate our planet and learn how we can protect it to make our world a happier, healthier place. Our children learned that Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22.

The children participated in several engaging, hands-on activities:

The children received a lesson on planting seeds. They decorated their flowerpots, filled them with soil, planted seeds, and watered them. They are now continuing to care for their plants in their classrooms, learning responsibility and patience.

The Butterfly class created a fun and interactive Earth project using baking soda and paint. They then sprayed vinegar on their creations, watching with excitement as the mixture fizzed and bubbled, demonstrating a simple chemical reaction.

The Primary children explored Earth through creativity by making Earth maps and various themed crafts, helping them understand and appreciate our planet.

Another successful French Grand Concours! 🇫🇷

We are thrilled to celebrate another outstanding French Grand Concours, made possible by the dedication of our incredible French teacher, Isabelle Pollacco. Every single student participated, and we couldn’t be prouder, earning bronze, silver, and gold medals, with many receiving a Certificat d’Honneur in recognition of their hard work and perseverance.

A heartfelt thank you to Isabelle, who year after year goes above and beyond to prepare her students, nurturing their reading, writing, and French language skills in ways that truly shine through in their results. Her commitment and passion make all the difference.

We are proud of each and every one of them! 🥇🥈🥉

RMS Highlights: March 2025

The visit to the National Building Museum included participation in the Build Your Story program, which explored the world of children’s literature through a creative lens. Students learned how authors and illustrators of storybooks share similarities with architects, particularly in their design processes and the way they bring ideas to life. The program highlighted how themes of structure and construction can connect literature and architecture.
During their visit, the children explored several exhibits, including Houses and Homes, Brick City, and the museum’s historic vaults. These exhibits allowed them to observe different types of homes, understand how they are built, and view valuable household artifacts from the past. The highlight of the trip was the Brick City exhibit, where students had the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning by building with LEGO bricks, sparking creativity and reinforcing concepts they had learned throughout the day.
