Today we recognize Juneteenth, a celebration and commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. Also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, Juneteenth marks a day in 1865 when enslaved Texans learned they would be free, two months after the end of the Civil War and two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation.

🎉 End-of-the-Year Fun! 🎉
Students in Ms. Keyser’s Kindergarten class got busy cleaning their desks with shaving cream as they prepared for summer break! 🫧✨ What looked like fun (and it was!) also helped students practice fine motor skills while making their desks sparkle.

🎓✨ Today we celebrated our amazing 6th graders during the Promotion Walk! As they made their way through the halls, students and staff cheered them on and wished them well on their next adventure. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see all the great things they will do in middle school. 🎶 Our kindergarten students did an outstanding job presenting their musical “E-I-E-I-Oops!” today. Through songs, storytelling, and teamwork, they brought to life the tale of Old MacDonald and his cows that wouldn’t moo. We are so proud of their hard work, confidence, and enthusiasm on stage.
