America’s history is a patchwork of countless local stories. Help celebrate and preserve the history of our community by sharing the photographs, keepsakes, and memories that tell the story of St. John the Baptist Parish. Submissions for our Community Exhibition are due by August 24th!

♻️ Save the Date! The 2026 Regional Household Hazardous Materials Collection Event is coming up Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Residents of St. John the Baptist and St. Charles parishes can safely dispose of household hazardous materials at either location:

📍 Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, Luling
📍 St. John Community Center, LaPlace

Accepted items include old solvents, pesticides, batteries, cleaning chemicals, and other household hazardous waste.

Help keep hazardous materials out of our homes, waterways, and landfills. 🌎
