โGivingTuesday is a movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity around the world.โ
As we reflect upon this past year and look forward to the next one, we want to express our sincere thanks for the tremendous generosity and support of our RIE community. Together, we have been able to touch the lives of infants and toddlers around the world by allowing them to be seen, heard, and respected from birth.
Our work continues, and we need your support.
A donation to the RIE Scholarship Fund will help provide tuition assistance to caregivers and families interested in learning and implementing the Educaringยฎ Approach. Specifically, a gift of $1,395 will send one deserving student to a RIE Foundations class, while a gift of $2,340 provides a year of Parent-Infant Guidance classes to one family.

Dear parents and specialists,
RIEยฎ is starting the group Friends of RIE -LA.
These meetings are intended to develop a community amongst all those in the LA area who are passionate about RIE whether they are professionals or current or past RIE parents.
These first few meetings will help establish the direction of the group based on the needs and desires of those who attend. If you live in the LA area, I hope you will attend.

This was an interesting discussion in parent/infant class.
Where do you struggle to see your child as competent?
With regard to:
Food - Do you trust them to know if they are hungry or full or if they like or dislike food?
Play - Do you believe your child can find something to play on their own and play in their own way?
Emotions - Do you trust your child to be able to experience a feeling and make their way through it?
Sleep - Do you trust that your child will sleep if they are tired?
Learning - Do you believe that your child is learning on their own, and in their own way, independent of being taught?
Gross Motor - Do you trust that your child will develop gross motor skills on their own, in their own time without adult intervention?
Socially - Do you believe that your child can engage with other children without the constant mediation of an adult?
RIEยฎ Associate Melanie Snell brought up these important, thought provoking questions to the parents in her RIE Parent Guidance online class.
