We are now 3 weeks into the school year. I have over 100 students in my Lecture class about cross-cultural service and about 65 in the Lab portion of the class. My role continues expanding, but it has allowed me to connect with more and more students. There is a shortage of godly leaders in our world. And we need to be investing well in the next generation. And this is an exciting space for that. Grateful to invest in the harvest!

What a day! Chapel service with the new students and their families. Always meaningful and then the parents left. At the same time the returning students are now coming back in droves. So much excitement. We had our first all-Student Ministries meeting dreaming together for the upcoming year. God is at work. And these students are finding their way. They are growing in their calling. And the Kingdom will advance.

Crazy busy last couple days as Launch Week is in full force. 5 days of taking all the new freshmen and transfer students and giving them all the Evangel DNA as possible before classes start on Wednesday. So many come in with nerves and doubts and some insecurities. Aren't we all glad that doesn't disqualify us for what God wants to do through us? We are glad to have them on campus and super excited to see what dreams are being shaped right in front of our eyes. It's going to be a phenomenal year.

The last couple days we have shifted from Student leader development to some faculty meetings as we prepare for new student arrival tomorrow. Our interim president gave a fantastic introduction to us all as we walk through these challenging days of higher Christian education. Working to build a culture of excellence in academics, in Christian character, and obedience to our King. Honored to be a part of it.

Such an exciting time of year. This weekend we had our Student Leaders Kickoff event where we invest in them. They are such a key to the culture, the community, and the entire campus experience. I always leave saying I wish I got this type of training when I was their age! And having the campus start to fill up again is a great thing. New students come on Friday!

After a busy, but successful summer term of classes, we are coming up to the Fall term at Evangel. While classes start on the 19th, our pre-semester meetings with student leaders begin this Saturday! As we begin our last year at Evangel, please pray that Chad can invest well in students and that the impact is part of a journey that grows the Kingdom. This generation is poised to do great things with their Heavenly Father.

The summer has been a big couple months of growing up for Ellie. 1. She has been in a few settings of all Spanish which has thrown some of the language back into her brain. 2. She learned to swim and is already quite a little fish. 3. She has been reading since the spring and really doing well. and 4. She lost her first 2 teeth. Honorable mention: she can snap her fingers with her right hand. Honorable mention 2- She has begun memorizing scripture with us for her Kids Church. I love to see it and hear it. She's kind of a big deal as she prepares for first grade!

It's been quite the summer for Emma. Started with youth camp with Kingdom Youth and Southern Missouri Youth. Then 10 days of the AGWM Missionary Kid camp which was really powerful for her. We began our missionary journey when she was 6 months old. This has always been such a huge part of her life and identity. Then spent a week as a worker at Kids Camp. When we receive so very much, it is important for us to give back as well. We were thrilled when she was asked by the Kids Pastor, and so humbled to watch her step out and do it . So grateful for all the people who have invested in and are investing in her life. May she ever walk closely by the Father's side.
