All formulas comparable to Tide and approved for the new machines. $60 each pump bucket and boy do they last. Washington | National School Choice Week There are a variety of school choice options available for many of the 1.6 million children living in Washington. Families in Washington can choose from traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.

Wanted: Firewood. Preferably cut at 24" lengths, nothing longer, split or un-split. If you want to make a monetary contribution we have a supplier that can sell us chords for $150. Any contribution will be appreciated. Contact School or Pete K for more info.

School will be in session as usual tomorrow Tuesday September 15th. If you choose to keep your student home due to air quality, please let us know.

Due to the air quality being beyond the index of hazardous conditions, school will be closed tomorrow, September 14th, 2020.

We will also be canceling our regular monthly board meeting and parent orientation.

There will be no activities at the school tomorrow. We deeply desire to keep our students and families safe so please stay home and inside if possible.

I have some exciting news for the plans GCA is rolling out for partnering homeschoolers 😊 Our board is drafting a four level service plan for education options. We have (1)our standard service plan for four days in person; (2)our online/remote upperclassman program with in person testing; (3)our new ACE homeschool partnering class; (4)our state testing joiners.

Our homeschooling community using matching curriculum has expressed mutual benefit from occasional campus time, field trip fellowship, record maintenance through Grace Christian and testing. We are thrilled to roll out this new service plan and celebrate the creative freedom to partner with our homeschool friends! The financial obligations for this plan is a one time yearly enrollment of $180(covers initial paces, administration setup, any diagnostic testing, spring state testing), $750 yearly tuition payable in ten monthly payments (covers record input and maintenance, once weekly on campus access to resources including scoring, tutoring and testing as well as goal setting progress advice and encouragement), and if you choose to order your pace workbooks through us they are still $3 each plus shipping as we issue them, however you can certainly utilize direct ordering through homeschool resource catalogs or online as preferred. If you discover there are areas your family needs more help in with tutoring/testing or other services above what this program offers, the board is writing provisional language for contract hours at minimum wage as needed by family request. There are discounts available(up to 10% off) for advance payment of tuition and we have special funds established by generous community members to be able to nominate achievers for quarterly scholarship awards and student body sponsorship awards.

We are in full swing of preparation for opening our doors to in-person students as well as being ready to kick off our online students on September 8th. With enrollment appointments, cleaning, painting, and reorganizing the building and classrooms, and all the other things we are diligently working on to prepare for your children to safely return to school simply means we are not always available to get back to you as quickly as usual.

So for your convenience, I have listed my current office hours below. We are excited to work with you and your families for the coming school year.

Hello Republic and Surrounding Area Families!

Grace Christian Academy has had lots of new things happening over this summer and we are excited to share them with you!

As you may have heard throughout the community, Mrs. Sarah VanSlyke has stepped down as the administrator. We wish her all the best as she enjoys this new season in her life having more time to focus on her wonderful family. The school board has brought myself, Mrs. Stephanie Connor, in as the administrator in the interim until they are able to get just the right fit for the permanent position.

As COVID has changed so many plans during this year of 2020, the board and staff have spent some time thinking inside and outside of the box in order to bring a creative solution to our families and our community. We don’t have it all ironed out yet, but we are excited to share with you that we have many options in the works to continue to faithfully serve this community.

The board has started working through a virtual online option for our upper grades that allows families, students and staff some flexibility. Mrs. Heather Baker and I are currently working out the details for this option and the board is focusing on creating a tuition that is in alignment with a virtual program.

For our elementary and Early Learners, we will have in-person learning with Mrs. Shilo Davis. Mrs. Davis and I have spent countless hours preparing the school and classrooms to meet our unique challenges in order to offer in-person learning to our students. For those of you wondering about face coverings and the like, we are discussing some creative solutions to meet these requirements with our board and we will be delivering our complete plan in the near future.

Enrollment has been open now for almost 1 month and we are so delighted to be conducting enrollment appointments with our families. We are requiring these for all families. This gives the staff, a board member, and the incoming family a chance to get to know one another, ask loads of questions, and truly determine if we are a good fit team for your children.

Early Enrollment is still open!

Regular enrollment begins on August 11th.

You can find our enrollment packets linked in a previous post to print or you can message us for a time when someone will be at the school to pick one up! =)

We are requiring all families to schedule an enrollment appointment due to the changes that have been made for this coming school year. Enrollment appointments give families and staff a chance to ask question and get to know one another better.

We look forward to serving the community through this coming school year of 2020-2021.
