👷🏾♂️ Opportunity changes everything. 🚧
This week, community members gathered for Flagger Training, taking an important step toward careers in the construction industry and other family-wage opportunities.
At Freedom Project, we believe access matters. When people have access to training, certifications, mentorship, and opportunity, they can build futures that extend far beyond a single job.
We’re proud to support pathways to employment that strengthen individuals, families, and our community.
Congratulations to everyone who showed up, put in the work, and invested in themselves. The journey starts somewhere. For many, this is just the beginning.

🎤Tonight, 9PM PST! 🎤 We’re joining an important conversation about what it takes to build safer, stronger communities.
Freedom Project Executive Director Marvin Marshall joins Converge Media The Pop-Up as part of “Together We End Gun Violence Week,” a regional effort focused on prevention, healing, and community-driven solutions.
Gun violence impacts all of us, and real change happens when organizations, leaders, families, and neighbors come together to invest in hope, opportunity, and safety.
Tune in tonight at 9 PM and be part of the conversation. 🎤🎤🎤🎤
Thank you to Converge Media and the King County Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention for creating space for these critical discussions.

🧡 June is Gun Violence Awareness Month.
This month, we wear orange to honor the lives lost, support the families forever impacted, and stand together for safer, stronger communities.
Gun violence affects all of us. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, a story, and a community working to heal.
At Freedom Project, we believe awareness is only the beginning. Healing, prevention, connection, and community action are how we move forward.
Join us this Friday as we gather with community members across King County to raise awareness, honor lives, and recommit ourselves to ending gun violence.
Friday the 5th, 12-2, Renton Community Center. Free gun lockboxes to increase safety within homes, free food for families, giveaways, and more! 👍🏾

IT’S OFFICIALLY LIVE!!! 🎙️💙💚😭 We are SO excited to finally introduce "Unlocking Compassion", the new podcast from Freedom Project.
Our very first episode, "Still Here: Fentanyl, Overdose, and Staying Alive", is now streaming on Spotify + YouTube (Coming soon to Apple!). 🎙️💙💚🎙️💙💚😭
This is more than a podcast. These are real conversations about addiction, survival, recovery, healing, incarceration, grief, community, and what it means to keep going when life gets hard.
And whew… launching something new is vulnerable 😭👏🏾 But we’re proud. Proud of the honesty. Proud of the storytelling. Proud of creating space for conversations that matter.
If you’ve ever loved someone struggling…
If you’ve ever struggled yourself…
If you’ve ever wondered how people survive and heal…
This conversation is for you.
Go listen. Go watch. Go share.
And help us spread compassion a little further. 🫂
Real stories. Humanity first. Freedom for all.
