Apprenticeship Degrees help employers build talent from within by combining college learning with paid, on-the-job experience. 🎓🏥

For workers, they have the opportunity to upskill and work towards a college degree at their current job.

For healthcare employers, this means filling workforce gaps internally and improving retention by supporting career growth.

🚧 “When we remove barriers and open up access, we have a better chance of inviting more folks in…We have the opportunity to allow communities to be healed by their own community members.” - Melody McKee, Director of Behavioral Health Strategy at the Healthcare Training Fund and Apprenticeship College of Health (ACH) leader. 🚧

The need for healthcare professionals is rising. ACH helps working adults prepare for these in-demand roles through Apprenticeship Degree pathways -- removing the forced choice between a job and a degree.

By offering Apprenticeship Degree pathways grounded in flexibility, affordability, and meaningful work experience, ACH is connecting communities with local professionals who understand their experiences, share their backgrounds, and can build trust.

Meet the team behind the Apprenticeship College of Health! ☕️🤝

Last week, functional and executive leaders from Reach University and the Healthcare Training Fund convened in Seattle, Washington, to further advance the Apprenticeship College of Health (ACH).

The teams spent time developing a shared vision for the next phase of growth and expansion, setting priorities and strengthening the collaboration needed to build practical pathways into behavioral health careers in Washington state and beyond.

Last week's work reinforced a defining principle of ACH: lasting innovation is built through strong partnerships, shared purpose, and the discipline to build together.
