To quote your teachers: “You are open-minded, empathetic, considerate, and kind. You are so much more than your academic accomplishments. You are becoming citizens of the world - and we are proud of you.” We are so grateful to be a part of your life’s blueprint, and honored your families entrusted us with your spirit, mind, and heart. Although you have graduated, please know you are always welcome here.

Upper Elementary wrapped up their Junior Achievement unit with a visit to BizTown at Junior Achievement of Washington! JA BizTown allows students to operate banks, manage restaurants, make news broadcasts, write checks, and vote for mayor. A big accomplishment for Cedar River Montessori was that our students were the only school in this session of BizTown to pay off all their loans! Thanks to all the corporate sponsors of BizTown and to our amazing teachers and volunteers, some of whom even had to step into BizTown roles so their kids could take leave to vote in the election.

So grateful for alumni visits! This young alum, who was in early childhood with Mr. Jerry and Miss Shernaaz before moving into elementary, came back to visit last week. She got some special time with the animals and is now preparing to move to Scotland for university. All the best for new adventures abroad!

Congrats to CRMS alum Kylie!
Congratulations to district high school students who have completed the five-month The Museum of Flight Washington Aerospace Scholars (WAS) program.
• Kylie Ongg, Hazen High School
• Nico Estacio, Lindbergh High School
• Niketh Gillela, Lindbergh High School
• Levi Ralston, Lindbergh High School
• Janessa Parks, Renton High School
Additionally, two of the students, Kylie Ongg and Janessa Parks, will also attend the immersive WAS Summer Residency.
WAS connects high school juniors with educational and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through independent learning, hands-on interaction, professional guidance, and site-based tours.
During Summer Residency, student teams plan a human mission to Mars with support from professional engineers/scientists, university students, and certificated educators. Additionally, participants receive briefings from aerospace professionals, tour engineering facilities, and compete in hands-on engineering challenges.

Another upper elementary going-out experience is in the books! These three students wanted to learn more about the inner workings of Lumen Field, home of the , , and Reign FC. What they learned during their experience planning process is that, even though games happen at Lumen, there's a whole team of people who work behind the scenes at many different locations! To cap off their research, the students contacted Seattle Reign Academy coach Darren Marshall, who gave them a personal tour of the Seattle Sounders practice facility in Renton and showed the students where all the preparation happens both on and off the field.
Here are the highlights in their words:
“I liked watching the teams play and learning about the locker room and all the different stuff they do.”
“I liked learning about where their meeting rooms are and the behind the scenes activities.”
“I liked watching the Sounders play, and I enjoyed when we went into the meeting room and being on the cameras.”
The students had to leave the meeting room quickly because a World Cup security team was about to gather there! Many thanks to Darren and the Seattle Reign and Seattle Sounders teams for sharing their time and for the extra swag and tickets to tomorrow's Sounders game!
