You don’t have to be confident before you start. 💙

Sometimes, confidence comes because you started.

One small step. One little win. One moment of realizing, “Hey, maybe I can do this.”

Give yourself a chance to find out.

Being hard on yourself doesn’t necessarily help you move forward.

In the latest Mindfulness in Motion episode, Cori Myka shares 3 steps to move forward without being so hard on yourself.

The approach is simple:

→ Get grounded in where you are
→ Take one small step
→ Get curious about what you can learn

Instead of turning setbacks into evidence that you’re failing, you can use them as opportunities to learn, adjust, and keep going.

Sometimes we get so focused on improving, pushing forward, or getting it right that we forget to simply enjoy where we are.

But joy matters, too.

Sometimes, stepping back and returning to what feels familiar, playful, and good is exactly what helps us feel ready to learn again.

You don’t always have to push forward. Sometimes, you just need to come back to joy. 💙

Learning something new doesn't always mean getting it right.

In Morocco with Bodyboard-Holidays, I stepped into the beginner seat and discovered how slowing down, staying curious, taking small steps, and letting go of perfection can change the way we learn.

Whether you're learning to swim, trying something new, or navigating a challenge in life, the same reminder applies:

You don't have to be perfect to grow.

Watch the journey and discover what becoming a beginner again can teach us about curiosity, self-trust, and growth. 🌊

You know that thing you’ve been telling yourself?

“I’ll learn to swim someday.”

Maybe you’ve been putting it off because life is busy. Maybe you’re nervous about being a beginner as an adult. Or maybe you’ve tried before and it just didn’t feel like it was going anywhere.

Honestly, you don’t have to feel completely ready to start.

You can start small.

Maybe it’s finally signing up for a lesson.
Maybe it’s getting comfortable putting your face in the water.
Maybe it’s simply admitting, “I really do want to learn.”

Those small moments count, too. 🌊

You don’t have to measure your progress by how far you can swim. Sometimes progress is just feeling a little more comfortable than you did last time.

So, what’s one small thing you’ve been putting off in your swimming journey?

Maybe that’s your place to begin. 💙

What if strength training could be a practice of mindfulness, confidence, and self-trust?

On this episode of Mindfulness in Motion, Vanessa Nicolosi joins me to explore how strength training can support more than physical strength.

We talk about consistency, motivation, mobility, and the importance of noticing small improvements instead of waiting for one big transformation.

Because strength isn't only about building muscle.

It's about being able to climb the stairs, carry your groceries, travel, play with the people you love, and move through everyday life with greater confidence.

Maybe “one day” doesn’t have to stay one day. 💙

If learning to swim has been sitting on your list for a while, you don’t need to have it all figured out before you begin.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t learning the skills—it’s giving yourself permission to start.

You don’t need to swim perfectly.

You don’t need to feel completely confident.

And you definitely don’t need to rush.

Start with one small step. Then another.

✨ Take the first step without putting pressure on yourself.

✨ Ask yourself, “What feels doable for me today?”

✨ Notice and celebrate every little bit of progress.

Because becoming more comfortable in the water happens one experience at a time.

So, if you’ve been saying, “I’ll learn to swim someday…”

Maybe today can be the beginning. 🌊

What would your first small step look like?

You don’t have to change your whole life to feel different. Sometimes, it starts with one small moment of noticing. 🌊

Like:
• You pause instead of pushing through
• You notice what your body is asking for
• You realize you need rest—and actually let yourself rest
• You catch yourself holding your breath and soften
• You choose a slower pace instead of forcing your way through
• You notice what feels good, not just what needs fixing
• You give yourself permission to feel what’s here
• You become curious instead of judging yourself
• You start recognizing what helps you feel more grounded
• You discover that a small shift can change how you move through your day

These moments might seem small.

But small moments of awareness can create meaningful shifts in how you relate to yourself, your body, and your everyday life. 💙

That’s why we created the Somatic Guide—5 simple practices you can choose from depending on what you need in the moment.

You don't have to do everything.
You don't have to do it perfectly.
You simply start where you are.

Small practices. Big shifts.
Your well-being, your way. ✨

If you’re ready to explore a more connected, calm, and fulfilling way of being, this guide is a beautiful place to begin.
