Day 3 of our Guest Readers for Read Across America week! We welcomed more parents, grandparents, school and district staff, students, and special guest Renton City Council member Ruth Perez. It was another great day of reading (and character costumes)!

Day 2 of Guest Readers for Read Across America Week! Another fun morning of family members, grandparents, district and school staff, student readers, and special guests like Renton City Council member Kim-Khanh Van.

We kicked off Read Across America week with guest readers in our classrooms today! Family members, school/district staff, and special guests including Superintendent Pattenaude, School Board member Avanti Bergquist, Renton City Council Members James Alberson and Carmen Rivera joined us today! We even had intermediate students read in some of our primary classes! We ❤️ Reading!

In today’s after school STEM club with students participated in some challenges! Students experimented with one person having no sight, one person with limited dexterity, one person with ear plugs, and all the others with no talking— all while working together trying to build the tallest tower!

Classes are working on their Classroom Charters- a way to collaboratively determine how students want to feel, interact, and solve conflict while at school.

It was another day of connecting, learning, and preparing for the year ahead with Talbot staff today!

Talbot staff came back together yesterday for our first Professional Development day! Staff collaborated on creating a Charter and teachers began preparing for leading this activity within their classrooms. Be ready to hear about your student’s classroom charter in September!

We had a great time last night at our Back-to-School BBQ and Meet-the-Teachers night! A huge thank you to for helping sponsor the food and arranging the ice cream truck! Welcome to the 25-26 School Year, Tigers!

Today is the final day (midnight tonight🕛) of our Apex Leadership FUNdraising program! This is our school’s major fundraiser of the year! Our students have had such a great two weeks learning new leadership lessons, a blast at recess, and an epic Fun Run event today!
