It's amazing to see the excitement from students and staff as we welcome everyone back to school during Phase-In Week!

Students are getting to know their new friends, teachers, classrooms, and all of the unique Montessori materials waiting for them. We're so excited to see our classrooms come to life and to continue welcoming everyone back throughout the week!

Our halls were full of excitement yesterday as we welcomed students and families to our Meet & Greet! It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, meet teachers, drop off supplies, explore classrooms, and help everyone feel a little more at home before Phase-In Week begins.

The amazing balloon setup out front also made for some great back-to-school snapshots!

We can’t wait to see everyone back on the Hill this week!

On Monday, we officially welcomed back our faculty for the start of the school year!

As part of our first day together, we were grateful to be joined by Kyle Williams of "A Long Talk" to Woodland Hill to continue important professional development work our staff began earlier this year at The Montessori Event 2026.

Together, our faculty and staff explored what it means to continue being interrupters in our spaces - recognizing moments when we can speak up, step in, and help create a community where every person feels valued and protected.

The training challenged us to continually refine the way we communicate with our children, families, colleagues, community partners, and beyond. Through thoughtful conversation and reflection, we considered how our words and actions can help us better care for one another and strengthen the culture we work to build every day!

Join members of our administration team and faculty for a special new parent orientation on Wednesday, September 2, at 5:30 p.m. designed to help you feel confident and prepared for the year ahead. We’ll walk through our daily routines, policies, and what you can expect throughout the school year. There will also be plenty of time for questions and answers, so come ready to learn, connect, and get the conversation started!

Last Friday, students in the Live Action Role Playing (LARP) camp ended their week with an epic Guild War!

Throughout camp, our LARPers put their imaginations to work creating characters, stories, strategies, and a world all their own. For their final adventure, campers teamed up into guilds, built their own bases, and set up a box of dominoes to defend.

As their guilds ventured outside, their goal was to collect dominoes from other bases. Along the way, they could challenge one another to safe, friendly duels for the chance to win a domino - or test their might against special bosses to earn bonus pieces. Every encounter displayed their creativity, imagination, and fun!

Great work to everyone on a great week and successful Guild War!

We are so grateful for all of our summer camp staff who have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming, fun, and memorable summer for our campers!

We’re especially proud of our current students serving as volunteer Counselors in Training, gaining valuable leadership experience while making a difference for our younger campers. It's also incredible to welcome back so many alumni who have returned to be part of our summer staff!

Thank you to everyone for your hard work and enthusiasm this summer!
