Mosely, one of our University’s most prolific presidents, was also a national office holder of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. The leadership school of Sigma Alpha epsilon is named after John O. Mosley. Members of Nevada Alpha who currently hold prominent positions include our former Football coach and creator of the Pistol Offense, Chrils Ault, former Nevada boxing coaches, Jimmy Olivas & Joey Gilbert, a prominent hotel and casino owner, Charles Mapes, former Ambassador to Greenland and businessman, Sig Rogich, former Governor Robert List, and current Governor and hopeful Presidential candidate Governor Brian Sandoval. In recent years, the graduates of Nevada Alpha have continued the academic, athletic, and leadership success they have displayed at the university level. No other fraternal organization can compare with the number of recent ΣΑΕ graduates who have gone on to law school, medical school, and advanced degree programs at some of the most prestigious schools in the country. These men are quickly establishing themselves as the leaders of tomorrow. The benefit of the college atmosphere offered by Sigma Alpha Epsilon is obvious. Today the Nevada Alpha chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the most diverse and fast growing fraternities at the University of Nevada.
