⛷️🏁 Our engineers at Poulakidas Elementary took on the Challenge Island Ski Slalom Speedway challenge, and let’s just say… this one was TOUGH!
Teams had to design and build a twisting, turning ski raceway that could guide their marble skiers through gates, curves, and obstacles all the way to the finish line. There were LOTS of test runs, crashes, redesigns, and creative problem-solving along the way, just like real engineers!
Students explored real-world connections to Olympic slalom skiing while learning about force, friction, speed, gravity, and motion through hands-on experimentation and teamwork. Watching them rethink designs, encourage teammates, and celebrate small successes was the best part. 💙
This challenge definitely pushed their perseverance and engineering skills to the next level!
