No one should be okay with what happened in PA this weekend. We can and will disagree, but there is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. We're better than this. Now, more than ever, we let's come together as Americans and stand against violence, hateful rhetoric, and division. United we stand, divided we fall.

Between Juneteenth celebrations this week, on Tuesday night I was humbled to be the guest preacher at Civic Night for the Northern Nevada First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Triad Holy Convocation. I also joined several local public officials in receiving recognition for our public service. THANK YOU Bishop Luther DuPree, Jr. and Northern Nevada First for both honors. It was a great night!

Just about every single one of us had that teacher, coach, aid, administrator, librarian, custodian, counselor, lunch lady, bus driver or another educator who made a real difference in our lives. There was likely one who saw something in us that we didn’t see in ourselves. Let’s remember them this week as we celebrate the educators still doing just that - every single day.
