Our Spanish class welcomed Mrs. Olcese as a guest speaker from Olcese Services.
Students had the opportunity to practice Spanish by asking basic questions and learning more about her job, life experiences, and her heritage from Mexico.
Thank you, Mrs. Olcese, for sharing your story and for the delicious paletas from La Michoacana, and for taking the time to connect with our students. We truly appreciate your visit!

Last week, our students in Spanish class had a great time learning about food and practicing their vocabulary. Level 1 Spanish students made fresh guacamole, while Level 2 Spanish and Level 3 Spanish prepared a nacho feast. It was a fun and interactive way to master the language through cooking. We are so proud of our students for their hard work and great flavors!
¡Buen provecho!

We recently welcomed the team from Ascend Martial Arts for an inspiring session focused on building both physical and mental strength. Students practiced the essential skills of self-confidence and mutual trust while learning to listen intently to one another. The workshop emphasized the importance of maintaining deep respect for oneself and others in every interaction. It was a rewarding experience to watch our students enjoy the session while developing these vital life lessons.

There’s nothing quite like a day in Washoe Valley to bring a lesson to life. Our students had a blast getting hands-on at the ranch, where they spent the morning brushing, riding, and bonding with the horses. It was wonderful to see everyone jump right in and enjoy the fresh air while learning something new. Huge thanks to the team at the ranch for being such great hosts and giving our students a day they won't forget.

Ms. Gaby and Ms. Power’s students had the best time today getting up close and personal with some amazing animals! Huge thanks to the Washoe County 4-H Creature Feature for bringing such a fun, hands-on learning experience right to our classroom. It’s safe to say everyone left with a new favorite creature and a lot of great stories!
