BYU Alumni Association - Reno Nevada Chapter

We were planning on doing some community outreach with BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble this coming Tuesday February 24th, particularly targeted with our youth since many high schoolers will be off that day due to ACT testing. Unfortunately there is an expected storm that has potential to impact the pass between Tuesday and Wednesday. Thus BYU had to make the call to re-route through southern Utah/southern Nevada so that they could make it back up to northern California for their stops in Modesto, Sacramento, Oakland, and Stockton. They regret not being able to make a stop in Reno this coming week.

We look forward to next performing group which looks to be in 2028.

We are in need!

So we would love to have 5 of our local alumni help review 33 Replenishment Grant Applications over the next 2 weeks (they are two question essay responses that are no more then about 8 sentences per question).

These will be anonymous

Then we will do 1 video to review to understand the process and 1 zoom meeting for all reviews to present the reviews and determine amounts to be awarded.

Hey Parents - our chapter leadership is in Provo right now and will be hosting a pizza dinner for all students on Campus in the Wilk Garden. They have been getting emails and text but you know how they look at those things. If you can send a note to them let them know you heard about this event with free dinner and prizes!

Due to weather conditions starting tomorrow, Reno Nevada Temple will close after the Wed am shift (1:30pm) . No baptistry or sessions after 1:30 pm wed.
And close for the Thursday morning shift (5am thru noon).
