I haven’t posted much on this as it brings back a lot of memories from when we went through a fire in 2020 & trying to stay calm!
To those that have reached out, with everything we have going on, yes we’re ok right now and thank you for your offers to help & checking in on us. We appreciate you so much! So many of our friends are in danger right now.

An Update Said so well from friend Dani Grate… (she lives right by me)

Please pray for our community today. They are predicting extreme winds today 60-70 mph gusts and that the will grow 3-7 miles today. They have called this a PDS (Potentially Dangerous Situation) which is something that is rare and worse than red flag warnings. If the winds are high they cannot use air support which not only allows the fire to grow, but it becomes very dangerous for the ground crews because they have no backup. They are predicting the winds will push the fire north and then east in the afternoon, which is where all of the houses are. Of course, we never know which way the winds will blow here living in the Sierra Nevada Mountains so everyone is on high alert.

It the calm before the storm right this minute because they did such a good job on the fire yesterday and there is very little smoke this AM. These fire predictions today make me feel like we are going into a battle with Goliath today. It seems big and scary. All we can do is pray and be prepared.

So many of our friends are very close to this and have been evacuated for days. Some even staying with us and we will take in as many people as needed to ensure everyone’s safety. Our house is just on the outside of the evac zone so we should be fine (we are the blue dot on the perimeter map), but we have to be vigilant because of the southern part of the fire - they have good containments there but if it flares and the wind pushes east we will have a different story.

Please pray the winds aren’t as bad as predicted, for everyone’s safety including all emergency personnel working so hard and our community.

I'm passionate about this for several reasons.

1) Drinking water is extremely important for health.
