..Stop reading/listening to news sources seeking to influence, rather than inform.

Also...IMO...the 'polls' are not to be trusted. I received no cell phone calls for my opinion on who I was voting for...my last name is MYER.

My husband, whose last name is RUIZ, received 3 cell phone calls in the past few months to survey his choice. I guess my opinion (or maybe my last name, and what it might mean for my opinion) doesn't matter to the pollsters.

Moving forward, we must be informed without bias in order to make educated decisions, based on facts and not opinions. Opinions used to be relegated to the 'editorial' page. We must now, make an effort to divorce opinion from fact in our own pursuit of 'news'.

Soooo tough lessons...last year I stored an open bag of potting soil outside, over the winter, but did not seal it tightly as I normally do. I transplanted some rooted clippings and a gift plant that had outgrown it's pot using the soil a few weeks ago. Within 2 weeks my home and every other plant in my house was infested with fungus gnats (who must have been in the potting soil). I had to do some quick research. The original clippings and transported gift plant were so infested, I had to throw them out, pot and all to ensure their propagation ended. The remainder of my plants are now sporting yellow, stickey gnat catchers and will be watered with peroxide water (50/50) for the next few weeks. Dang.
