EnCompass Academy

EnCompass Academy Guiding students to bright futures Encompass Academy is located in the Boys and Girls Club Pennington facility.

As a Washoe County School District sponsored charter school, Encompass Academy is a non-profit, free, personal choice school for high school students who are looking for an alternative to larger, traditional schools. Students will become a member of the club, with all the amenities and benefits of the Boys and Girls Club. Encompass Academy's Four Pillars are:

1) Academic Achievement:

Encompass Academy will provide opportunities for students to learn in meaningful, authentic ways, and will encourage critical thinking to produce capable, caring citizens. 🏐 Our Volleyball team picked up their first WIN of the season yesterday against Portola! Way to compete and get it done! 💪

⚽ Our Soccer team showed what the FIRE Way is all about, battling hard all game even while playing down a player. We’re proud of the effort, teamwork, and endurance they showed until the final whistle.

Encompass Academy will return to on-ground, in-person school tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26. 💜

School begins at 8:00 AM. We’re excited to welcome our students back and appreciate everyone’s flexibility over the past few days.

Due to the continued impact of the Hawk Fire, Encompass Academy will have another Digital School Day tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25. 💜

We know many families in our community continue to be affected by evacuations and displacement. Keeping students home also helps reduce traffic on our roads and allows emergency personnel to continue their important work.

💻 Students should log in using their Encompass school email and check Google Classroom for assignments.

If your family has been displaced, does not have internet access, or is otherwise unable to complete schoolwork due to the fire, students will have opportunities to make up their work at a later date.

Our priority is the safety of our students, families, and community. Please continue to stay safe and take care of one another. 💜

Due to the Hawk Fire, Encompass Academy will have a Digital School Day tomorrow, Monday, August 24.

We know that many members of our community, including Encompass families, have been impacted by evacuations and displacement. By moving to a digital school day, we hope to help keep roads clear for emergency vehicles and allow our families to focus on staying safe.

Students should log in using their Encompass school email and check Google Classroom for their assignments. Students should complete their digital work from home if they are able.

Students who have been displaced or do not have access to the internet will have opportunities to make up their work at a later date. Please do not worry about schoolwork if your family is dealing with an evacuation or other impacts from the fire.

Please stay safe and take care of yourselves and one another. 💜
