What does it mean to call a place home? A home can be so much more than where we rest our heads at night. It can be a place of belonging made within our communities, safety and relationship with close friends and family, and even a place of peace within ourselves.

Join the University of Nevada, Reno School of Music Choral Area for our spring concert “A Place to Call Home.” This concert will feature the university Concert Choir and Chamber Chorale performing works by Andrea Clearfield, Ryan Murphy, Anton Bruckner, Mr. Fred Rogers, Johannes Brahms, Camille Saint-Saëns, and more!

Where does your voice belong?

Join us at the University of Nevada Reno, School of Music for a day of singing, learning, and connecting. Participating prospective student students will:

• sing with our choirs in a side-by-side rehearsal
• participate in a vocal master class
• receive a voice lesson from one of our faculty
• observe a series of opera scene and vocal performances
• meet current students and faculty
• enjoy lunch and a campus tour

Our spring choral area concert ‘Unclouded Day’ is this coming Thursday at 7:30 in Hall Recital Hall. Come hear selections with varied texts utilizing natural themes including F***y Hensel’s ‘Gartenlieder’, Carly Simon’s ‘Let The River Run’, and the American folk traditional ‘Unclouded Day.’
