We offer a variety of quality fine art classes to the public, implement art programs in the school systems, and steward the historic Lake Mansion responsibly as a community center for exploration of arts and culture. W

hile our emphasis is on those who have a disability, are disadvantaged, at-risk, or underserved by the arts, we recognize that every individual in our community has a role to play in the arts. People of all ages, skill levels, backgrounds, and experience can find their place at Arts for All Nevada, as our classes and programs focus on a variety of different art movements and media including visual art, creative movement, drama, and literary expression. We envision a world unified by the arts, where communities engage, create, and grow together.

Meet our amazing intern, Shea!❤️

We've been lucky here to have Shea with us for the past months, helping us make arts happen for our community!

Shea's been assisting our Teaching Artists in Art Adventures and in several art camps this Summer, and helps us in organizing our super art supply room!

Arts for All parents may recognize Shea for painting hundreds of kids' faces at the Summer Family Arts Festival too!

Shea is an artist and student here in Reno, and loves any sort of art, especially drawing and painting (swipe to see her super awesome art!).

To know more about Shea, here's an interview we did!

- What inspired you to intern with us?

I was really excited to work with Arts for All because I’m really passionate about art and getting to share it with other people.

- What's been your favorite part of being with us?

Some of my favorite parts of working here have been getting to help out the kids and doing face paint at the Summer Arts Festival.

- What is your favorite creative activity?

My favorite way to be creative is painting. I especially love using gouache and acrylic.

- Any message you'd want to share about Arts for All Nevada that people might think is cool to know?

I want everyone to know that Arts for All is an incredibly welcoming place and full of kind people who really care about the arts.

Wow! Thank you for your kind words, Shea... and also for helping us bring arts to lots of kids here in our community! We're really very lucky to have you around.

Okay, back to work now... we'll see you in art class! 😋😄

Thank you, Shea! 😊

Nothing but sweet fun in all our Weekly Wonders workshops at Makers Paradise. ❤️

This is bittersweet as we are sooo sad that our wonderful partner, Makers Paradise at the Reno Public Market, is closing its doors.

We are grateful to the Makers Paradise family for the years of partnership and the community we've built together, along with the City of Reno Government Access Advisory Committee.

To Jim, and Consuelo and Haley, who also both warmly volunteer at our family art festivals, thank you so much.

Because of the closure, our last Weekly Wonders class at the Reno Public Market will be on Friday, September 25.

The good news is that Weekly Wonders will continue at our Lake Mansion (Mondays), Gardnerville (Wednesdays), and Sparks (Thursdays) locations, all from 3-4:30pm.

And to show how fun it is, we're sharing these sweet photos from our most recent workshop at Makers Paradise, where everyone painted donuts, with guidance from our teaching artist, Sophie Ralston.

Thank you, Makers Paradise, for everything. We wish you all the best in your next chapter. ❤️

Thank you, Amelia!

For the past month, Amelia has been completing her internship with us here at the Lake Mansion, helping organize our archives, improving the organization of our collections and spaces, and even taking on the daunting task of matching countless keys to their proper doors.

Thank you, Amelia! As you end your internship with us, we wish you all the best as you continue your career and know you'll accomplish great things!

Amelia is a Graduate Student at the University of Oregon, concurrently pursuing a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation. She was born and raised in Reno and got her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

She loves architecture, history, and preservation and hopes to continue sharing it with her friends, family, and her community.

As we say "see you again" to Amelia, we did a little interview so we can all appreciate and learn more about her and her thoughts about the Lake Mansion:

- What inspired you to intern for the Lake Mansion?

"The historic Lake Mansion and its history as well as the mission of Arts for All Nevada to promote arts and culture within the community has been truly inspiring! This was an opportunity I could not let pass up!"

- Anything interesting you've discovered about the Lake Mansion?

"It has been fascinating to learn about the early history of Reno and the Lake Family. The quirks and sounds of the mansion have been exciting to get to know."

- What's something you hope everyone can learn when they visit the Lake Mansion?

"I hope everyone can leave the Lake Mansion with a better appreciation for its beautiful architecture, Lake Family History, and the resilience and preservation it has undergone to be presented in the way it is today! After three relocations, and almost 150 years of history I hope this place can be admired and cared for, for years to come."

Thank you, Amelia!

Who wants popsicles? 😊

Our Weekly Wonders artists have been busy making popsicles this hot Summer!

Guided by our teaching artist, Sophie Ralston, everyone's playing with colors, and lots of it, to paint the most delicious-looking cold treat.

These ones are from our artists at Makers Paradise at the Reno Public Market.

Popsicles! Yum! 🥰
