Two (magnitudes 4.3 and 5.2) occurred near Silver Springs today at 1:15am and 1:18am! You can see the aftershock rate pick up after those events on this from station PWRL. PWRL was installed April 15th, the day after the 5.7, to monitor aftershocks.

Thank you so much Tahoe Fund! We're so proud to be part of the Tahoe community and appreciate all the support from the The Tahoe Prosperity Center. Looking forward to more great projects in the future!

We have a champion!

After thousands of votes from the Tahoe community and beyond, the Wildfire Alert Camera has taken the top spot in Tahoe Project Madness and will be getting an extra $10k!

This camera, which is run by the University of Nevada, Reno’s Nevada Seismological Laboratory and funded in partnership with The Tahoe Prosperity Center, closes a major gap in the detection network.

From the very first round, this project stood out as a clear favorite, highlighting just how important reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfire is to our community.

While this project is taking home an additional $10K, thanks to our generous donors, all 16 featured projects received a combined $700k in funding this past year.

Thank you to everyone who voted, shared, and supported our Tahoe Project Madness. We saw record participation this year, inspiring us to do even more to improve the Lake Tahoe environment for all to enjoy!

Thank you President Brian Sandoval! We're honored to be able to represent the Pack!

Thank you to the Tahoe Fund, our partners, donors, and everyone who voted for the University of Nevada, Reno Nevada Seismological Laboratory's ALERTWildfire during Tahoe Fund's "Tahoe Project Madness" event! We are grateful for your support and confidence in this critically important program that has stopped over 100 Tahoe-area fires before reaching one acre. Early detection of wildfires reduces the risk of catastrophic wildfires and protects Lake Tahoe.
