Internship Opportunity with SFPD!

Interested in a career in law enforcement? The San Francisco Police Department Seibel Internship Program is offering an immersive two-week experience during Winter Session 2027 (January 4–15).

Students will gain field exposure, career insight, leadership development, and networking opportunities with SFPD professionals. Interns who successfully complete the program will also receive a $1,000 stipend!

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office was proud to celebrate the completion of the 2026 Inside Out Program, made possible through the continued partnership with the Criminal Justice Department and Dr. Lanterman's class.

This unique program brings together UNR students and individuals incarcerated for a semester-long course focused on exploring criminal justice, understanding the system, and engaging in meaningful dialogue.

“Throughout the semester, participants worked side by side, building perspective and creating an environment centered on learning and growth,” said Sheriff Balaam. “A special thank you to Dr. Lanterman and her team at the University of Nevada, Reno, and to our WCSO Bridge team for their continued collaboration and commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community.”
