Wild Horses on a Chilly Early Morning. Washoe Lake State Park, Nevada.

I saw about 60 wild horses about a mile away and walked with them for an hour & 1/2. Some decided they needed a refreshing drink. It was worth standing in the muck & mud to capture this.

Watchful Morning Bald Eagle. Washoe Valley

There is a bald eagle's nest nearby. It is all about timing. When they are in the nest tending the eggs, they are too low to see from below. So I scan the trees near the next. This was taken through the branches of another tree.

Steamboat Creek near Huffaker Springs in Reno, NV

During a bike ride, I saw this mating pair of mallard ducks in the creek and decided to take a picture. The male appears to be watching over the female as she feeds beneath the cascading stream water. I took the shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T7: manual focus, shutter speed 1/125, F/16, ISO 250.
