The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada (ITCN) is teaming up with the Native Solidarity Project to give tribal Head Start, a program that helps young native kids learn and grow, a big boost. They're asking folks from the Burning Man community to donate educational toys and books on their way to the event, which will make a huge difference for local children at Pyramid Lake.

Your generous toy donations reflect the Principles of Radical Inclusion, Communal Effort, Civic Responsibility and Gifting. The donated items will be distributed to the appropriate tribal schools based on age and need, ensuring that each child receives resources tailored to their educational journey.

For those attending Burning Man, convenient Toy Drive Drop Off Locations have been established along the way to facilitate donations. These locations include Wadsworth Head Start, Nixon Head Start, Pyramid Lake Food Distribution Warehouse, as well as both Tribal Stores in Nixon and Wadsworth.

For questions or guidance on the types of toys and books sought, participants are encouraged to contact Margie GunShows from ITCN Head Start at ‭+1 (775) 530-5518‬ or via email at [email protected].

Additionally, online orders of educational toys and books can be mailed directly to Margaret Gunshows at the Intertribal Council of Nevada's address: PO Box 7440, Reno, NV 89510.
