Each year, 140 first-generation and low-income students are supported through TMCC’s TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program, made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Program Director Dr. Maria Sandra Jimenez, TMCC Foundation Associate Vice President Gretchen Sawyer, and TMCC student Denise Tellez highlight the program’s wraparound services, including one-on-one tutoring, mentorship, financial literacy and more.

Today she stood tall as the keynote speaker at the Foundation Scholarship dinner! Reminding us all that resilience and determination can turn obstacles into triumph. Join us for an outdoor personal development and team-building activity consisting of high and low obstacles, and learn all about what you will gain as a TRIO SSS student! Lunch will be provided! Active SSS participants only.

Location: RDMT 127 & Off-Campus Project Discovery Ropes Course 
Bus Departure: 7:45 AM 
Arrive at Ropes Course: 9:00 AM
Bus Departure: 4:15 PM 
Approx. Arrival to TMCC: 5:30 PM
Spots are limited to 35 participants! A waitlist will be created. RSVP extended to Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 by noon.
