September Mom's Day Out- Speed Friending!

Do you struggle to make new mom friends? Or just want to meet more Northern Nevada mamas?

During the 4th trimester (and for many of us, the first year) it can be a huge undertaking to ensure our physical needs are met.

Are we eating (and giving out bodies quality nutritients)?
Are we sleeping anywhere close to enough (and is it restorative)? Are we showering and getting ready in the mornings?
Are we carving out any time to be alone and decompress?

Most new mamas either know or learn quickly that tending to our most basic needs is mission critical to our well-being and the happiness of our families. And it is easy to stop there, especially with the energy it takes to accomplish what, only months ago, felt like the easy parts of our daily routine.

DON'T STOP THERE.

Without tending to our emotional and mental health, we are still falling short. And just as physical wellness is essential, the rest of us is too!

It can be overwhelming to take on one more thing. But tending to yourself in the less tangible ways will have a huge payoff --- and make those basic needs tasks that much easier to accomplish.

If you need help with the other parts of your life, reaching out to a trusted friend, therapist, or coach is a great place to start. And if you feel like you are struggling to find yourself again in this new season, there is help out there. You don't have to mama alone.

Mamas of babies in Northern Nevada! Your community is waiting!

Are you looking for mama friends but don't know where to start? Look no further. The next Mama & Baby Class starts July 14!

Join an intimate group of other mamas and babies for 6-Weeks on Tuesday mornings. We will share the ups and downs of the postpartum year and learn proactive strategies to start feeling like ourselves again and balance all of our new responsibilities without going crazy!

Meetings take place in Sparks, Tuesdays from 10-11:30am.

Anyone else experience pervasive mom guilt?

👋

Isn't mom guilt really just a reminder that we love our babies and want what's best for them? Ain't nothin' wrong with that!

Unless we stop caring about our little people, I suspect for most of us we will always feel those guilt pangs.

So what if so stop wishing away the guilt and instead practice tolerating it? What decisions would you make if you have yourself permission to feel a little guilt but do things for yourself too?

You've got nothing to lose! Schedule the thing!
