Tomorrow, Tuesday 4/7, is MHMS PTA's Texas Roadhouse Dine-In Fundraiser, and they want to see a huge turnout from our Marce Herz families!

Every bite supports our students, and 10% of all designated food sales will go straight to MHMS PTA programs.

Let's make this a fun community night out!

Spirit week is approaching!

Here are the dress up days and dance information:

Monday, 3/2- March Madness Monday- wear your best sports attire
Tuesday, 3/3- Teacher/student swap
Wednesday, 3/4- Country vs Country Club
Thursday, 3/5- Dynamic Duo- dress as a famous duo
Friday, 3/6- Color explosion- wear your loudest, brightest colors

Our dance will take place Friday evening from 5pm-6:30pm in the cafeteria. The cost is $5 plus your student ID. The dress code is semi-formal, so choose your fancy. We will be selling snacks and cotton candy, so bring some extra cash. There will also be two different photo booths to commemorate the evening. You will not want to miss out!

Looking forward to seeing our Falcons again on Tuesday, January 6th! Monday 1/5 is a teacher learning day. See you soon!

We have partnered with our friends at Marvin Picollo again this year to help families in need this holiday season. For those not familiar with Marvin Picollo, it is a public school in the Washoe County School District that serves students with severe disabilities. The school has a student-teacher ratio of 3.1:1. Students at the school have medical conditions such as cerebral palsy, fetal alcohol syndrome, meningitis, and more.

At MHMS we do such a phenomenal job of giving back. Let's make it an amazing holiday season for all 20 of our families at Marvin Picollo. If you feel inclined to contribute, please bring unwrapped items with the family letter/number on the gifts (A, B, C, -OR- 1, 3, 7, 😎 to the office by Friday, December 12th. You can also donate money and we can do the shopping for you.

Good morning... here are our morning announcements for Friday, 11/7/25:

Good morning, Falcons! Happy Friday. Will you please stand to recite the Pledge of Allegiance with me followed by a moment of silence?

• Attention, Students of Marce Herz!!!!!!!! Tomorrow we are hosting a Robotics Tournament in the MPR from 7am to 5 pm!! This is a VEX V5 Robotic Tourney utilizing the PUSH BACK playground! Rounds will be going from about 9am to 3pm. We would love to have you come and see what it is all about and cheer on your Marce Herz Robotics Team as they go up against 15 other teams!!! We will have teams from Swope MS, Reno HS (both teams made it to Worlds last year), Galena HS (past students from Marce Herz), Elko and Winnemucca. There is NO fee to come and watch – but be sure to bring some cash for snacks and drinks that will be sold to support our Robotics Team. See you tomorrow here at Marce Herz!!!! • Starting this month, Falcons are invited to participate in the Herz Annual Reading challenge: the Million Words Challenge! Students and staff are encouraged to see if they can read at least one million words by the beginning of April and see how many words they can read in five and a half months! Participants will log the titles of the books they listen to on audio or visually read and words will be calculated for each completed text. This is not only a way to personally challenge yourself, but will also be a team even, with participants on the winning team earning treats and bragging rights. Please check you email today for details or see Ms. Johnson in the library to sign up! Happy Reading!

• Today is our Veterans Day Luncheon. For 7/8 graders who are attending with a Veteran, we will call you down to the gym at 11:30. For 6th graders, you will go directly to the gym from your lunch recess. All attending students will put their backpacks in the Activity Room.

• All Monday Clubs are cancelled in the library next week.
