We wrapped up our 5 Senses unit in CKLA by using our sense of smell and taste during our science investigations. They had fun guessing what each scent and taste was, then deciding whether they liked it or not. We also created our names in Braille to go along with our biography lessons about Ray Charles and Helen Keller. Our last activity was creating Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and labeling body parts with the 5 senses. 👀👃👅🦻👐

We have started our ABC exchange from around the USA!! Last Friday we received our first letters from Wisconsin, Alabama, and Colorado! It's soooo fun to get the big yellow envelopes in the mail, see what letter is inside, and read about some awesome Kindergarten classrooms from across the country!! Keep checking as we receive the whole alphabet!! 🤞 We are busy creating our own alphabet letter to send out to 26 other kindergarten classrooms... Stay tuned!! 😉

Today we had a special guest reader....all the way from Washington DC!!!! Dorothy's Dad was able to join our Kindergarten classroom through a google meet and read "Pumpkins on Strike!" We also had Dorothy's big sister Elaina join in ...great way to connect with their dad when he's far from home!! Thanks for all you do to protect the USA Brock!!! ❤️🌟🇺🇸
