In addition to being a Special Educator and IEP Team and Student Support Team chairperson, I also bring the personal perspective of having raised a child with special needs. In this parental role, I have experienced first hand the challenges of wanting to see my child achieve success while being able to acquire the tools to make that happen.

EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT/PARENT ADVOCATE

I am available as an Educational Consultant/Parent Advocate to accompany parents to IEP Teams or Student Support Teams to ensure that parents' and students' needs are accurately represented at these meetings and that students come away with the interventions and supports to which they are entitled. These processes are multi-tiered and can become overwhelming. I will help you to streamline and better understand these processes in order to better advocate for your child's needs.

TUTORING SERVICES

I am now available to continue to touch student lives by offering my services as a one on one tutor. As a diagnostic-prescriptive educator, I am available to individually tailor a supplemental learning program for students who need strategic intervention to ensure that they attain the grade level requirements of the Common Core State Standards. I am located in the Reisterstown area and will work to schedule tutoring sessions which are mutually convenient for everyone's schedules and commitments.

Here's my background: I am a retired Baltimore County Public Schools educator and administrator. With thirty years in the field I have worked at a variety of schools in BCPS and in Massachusetts. My experiences cross all grade levels in the elementary school setting, both within special education and general education. As an administrator, I have served in both the positions of Assistant Principal and Principal before my recent retirement.
