🎒 School Supply Information

Great news! For the 2026–2027 school year, students are only required to bring a book bag and headphones.

The additional items listed on the school supply list are optional donations that help support our classrooms and ensure students have the supplies needed throughout the year. While these items are not required, they are greatly appreciated and help us maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked learning environment for all students.

Good morning!

We have an exciting summer reading adventure planned for you and your family!

Rockingham County School librarians have partnered with local businesses and the public library to offer a unique summer reading program called the RoCo Reading Trail. It is designed to offer families a fun activity to do together during the summer to get out, explore their community, and READ. This event will begin on June 5th.

Local businesses serve as stops along the “Reading Trail.” At each location, families will find a children’s book to read together. After visiting and returning the book, an employee will stamp the family’s RoCo Reading Trail Tracker. Students will work to collect stamps from each stop along the trail. No purchase necessary.

At the end of the program, families who complete all stops on the map will be entered into a Grand Prize Drawing. In addition, every child who completes at least 12 stops will receive a prize. Prizes will be distributed at each school’s Back to School Open House.

Students will receive a paper copy of the map and tracker. Here is a link to Google Maps with all the businesses marked:

Good Afternoon,

We are excited to have you join us on June 9, 2026 at 3:00pm for the ground breaking ceremony for the New REIDSVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. We are eager to combine Moss Street Elementary and South End Elementary students into one modern building through the North Carolina Needs-Based Public Schools Capital Fund Grant .

We are so proud of these students for their hard work, leadership, character, and academic achievement. Being selected for Beta Club is a wonderful accomplishment, and we cannot wait to see all the great things they will continue to do.
