Learning CPR from a screen is not the same as being physically prepared to act. Online study builds basic knowledge, but hands on training makes you ready for physical action. Come learn CPR in person and be ready to save a life!

Do you remember the first time you ran a cardiac arrest call and the patient made it?

Not the call. What happened after. The moment you found out they survived. The way that felt.

I have been thinking about that question since I read the manuscript for a book called The Saved Effect, written by Brad Newbury, a captain and paramedic with over 40 years in fire and EMS, and his daughter Kiera an EMT.

The book is not about CPR technique. It is not about protocols. It is about what happens after a life is saved. The father who walks his daughter down the aisle. The grandfather who meets a grandchild he was never supposed to hold. The ripple that moves through a family for years, because someone was prepared and willing to act.

Brad and Kiera call it the Saved Effect. If you have spent any real time in this field, you have been part of it. You just never got to see where it went.

On July 15, I am sitting down with Brad and Kiera for a live conversation about those stories, and about what this work means to the people who do it every day.

This is not a webinar. There are no slides. It is a 90-minute conversation, live from the NMETC Studio in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, and it is free to attend.

If you work in EMS, emergency medicine, critical care, or the fire service, this is for you. Not as a clinical update. As a reminder of why you chose this in the first place.
