On Tuesday at Palmer River Elementary School, we had a special visit from Propane Plus's very own Propane Man!

Each year, our students look forward to participating in the annual Propane Plus coloring contest for a chance to win pumpkins from Araujo Farms in Dighton! Propane Man always brings plenty of excitement as he helps us kick off the contest, and this year was no exception!

Our students loved his visit, and we can't wait to see all of their colorful and creative entries!

A big thank you to Propane Plus and Araujo Farms for continuing this fun fall tradition with our PRES Falcons!

At the 2026 MassCUE Fall Conference, our Director of Technology, Lauren Harwood, and Superintendent Bill Runey presented on how DR is leveraging technology to strengthen communication, align instruction, streamline operations, and move our district forward.

We’re proud to share our story, learn alongside education leaders from across the state, and bring new ideas home to benefit our students and staff.

October is Fire Safety Month, and Palmer River Elementary School students have been learning all about how to stay safe thanks to our partnership with the Rehoboth Fire Department.

Our PreK and Kindergarten students had a special visit from Rehoboth Fire Department Lt. T.J. Sarrazin, who taught them about fire safety and gave them a chance to check out the fire truck up close. Students even received their own fire hats to take home, which was definitely a highlight!

Fire safety education continued with our third graders during Computer Skills this week! Lt. Randy Larrivee joined Mr. Pearse’s classes, where students had fun playing interactive fire safety games while learning important safety tips. Lt. Larrivee also shared information about an upcoming fire safety contest and encouraged students to participate.

A huge thank you to Lt. Sarrazin, Lt. Larrivee, and the Rehoboth Fire Department for spending time with our students during Fire Safety Month. We are so thankful for your continued partnership and for helping our Falcons learn how to keep themselves and others safe!
